This is the dawn before the day,

Here is the virginal mother.

The woman promised at the beginning of time,

She built her house

In accordance with the Father's wishes.

No fear, no refusal

Let nothing disturb the work of grace,

Her heart is filled with ineffable longing,

She offers silence to God

Where the Word dwells.
