"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9

Today we celebrate All Saints' Day, and we might be misled into thinking we are celebrating our brothers and sisters who have lived perfect lives, always linear, precise, and even "stiff." On the contrary, today's Gospel refutes this stereotypical view, this "holiness of pious image." Indeed, the Beatitudes of Jesus (cf. Mt 5:1-12), which are the defining characteristics of the saints, reveal the exact opposite: they speak of a life lived against the current, a revolutionary life! The saints are the true revolutionaries.
